The process:
I. Book the date.
Pick a package of your choice and share your preferred tentative date.
I will go ahead and send you a contract to reserve that date + a link to pay the retainer.
The booking retainer is $250 for any package you choose.
Remaining amount is to be paid on the day of your session.
II. Prep for your sesh.
Once you are all booked and ready to go, I will send you my style guide (this helps you put together outfits for your fam) + a questionnaire (this helps me know your story better)
If you the choose the Full session, you get access to my client closet for moms filled with beautiful gowns and dresses.
We will go over styling and locations.
III. Session day + After.
We will have lots of fun on your session day, I will capture your story through a lot of candid + gentle posed prompting.
You will receive your online gallery 3 weeks after your session via an email from which you could print, share and download all files.
FAQ's
What is a Micro Family Session?
Micro family sessions are like mini sessions but offered through out the year. These sessions are short and quick with multiple families participating back to back. They make for great annual photos for those holiday cards or just for documenting a milestone etc.,. The session covers immediate family up to 5 members & (no pets). Also these get booked pretty quickly and months in advance, so make sure you book at least 2-3 months in advance for your preferred month.
Where will the session take place?
I shoot all over Bay Area California, from San Francisco to Morgan Hill. I take a lot of time to scout gorgeous locations and know how they look during different times of year, how the light falls, and whether the spot is accessible and how closer it is to the parking lot. For full sessions, I will send you a list of location with sample photos for your shoot date taking into account where you live, how far you are willing to drive, what kind of session you want, ages of your kids, and how the location will look on your shoot date. I also shoot indoors as well in a more intimate setting whether that be your home, or a creative studio. For micro sessions, I pick the best location for that season, mostly in San Jose.
Do you give RAW images?
I do not provide raw images as it represents the unfinished, unprocessed work that I've captured behind the lens. Raw images require specialized editing software and expertise to bring them to their full potential. My commitment to you is delivering professionally edited, finished images that uphold my high-quality standards. This ensures that you receive the best representation of my work and your cherished moments. I firmly believe in providing you with the final product that reflects the dedication and artistry I put into each image I capture. Do you offer Styling/wardrobe?
Absolutely. I've got a bunch of favorite stores that nail the photoshoot look, and I am happy to share those with you. I've got an eye for detail, so I often pick out specific pieces for everyone in the family. We can also mix in items that you already own, but purchasing some new pieces if required definitely pulls the look together.
Also, when you book a full session, you get access to my client closet. You can borrow something cute as I carry a curated collection for all body types. While my usual go-to is that timeless vibe, I'm totally down to switch things up. If your family has a unique style idea, I'm all ears and ready to make it work. So let's make you all look amazing and have a blast doing it!
What will the session time be?
My sessions take place 1-2 hours before sunset or at sunrise for that gorgeous light. If you have little kids who go to bed early, keep in mind that sunset times are much earlier in the Fall and Winter and schedule your nap times around it. However parents are always amazed how long kids can last in sessions past their bedtime especially when they are having fun on the beach! Or consider a sunrise session in the woods for early evenings. Or go with a completely different vibe by doing an indoor at home or at studio documentary kind of session.
Do you offer at home sessions?
Yes, I do offer at home Newborn lifestyle, family & maternity sessions. These are perfect for families who love the documentary style photoshoot with less posing and more natural kind of session. I come to your home with my camera and we capture a lot of candid moments together. Whether its baking cookies with your little ones or just playing in your backyard with your pets, capturing the joyful moments of your day to day life.
